Scholarship Winner -

ELEANOR ROOSEVELT SENIOR RECEIVES DENTAL SCHOLARSHIP

At this year’s Awards Ceremony on May 14 Dr. Dennis Hatfield presented his first scholarship for a senior planning to study dentistry.  Miss Ikhlass Hassen of Greenbelt was the recipient of the $500 scholarship.  Miss Hassen plans to attend University of Maryland-Eastern Shore in the fall.

Dr. Hatfield spoke to the Golden Age Group of Greenbelt on September 9.

Topics included: Oral health for the senior population.  Oral health, as it affects overall health, i.e., poor oral health can have serious effects on your overall health, such as liver, kidneys and heart.

Looking good at any age, with cosmetics, was also discussed.
